first day of term is horrible like it always is. horribly horrible.

woke up late, rush rush rush, sleepy, tired, letargic, and the first period is PE. arggh! big wake up call! ran around the two basketball courts 4 times and the stiches came after half the first round. i definitely need to excercise more.

back to being a maths rep to collect a huge pile of holday homework that was towering over me. somehow it seemed like yesterday that the holiday just started, and it just ends in a blink of an eye.

so does the term.

get in tune with my life

today was so fun, went to labrador park and wild wild wet.

the labrador park rocky beach was where i went with 20+ people to do research for the class. ya, we're going to teach the whole sec 2 level ecology at the 2nd semester of the year. now my cam got sth wrong, it was raining at the park, then it just got a little wet and it can't take near pics anymore :( sniff. ning rong found all sorts of stuff on the rocky beaches going: 'hey i found sth!' or 'ms chew, what is this?' then she found a spiky worm-like thing and ms chew didn't know what it is, so ning rong declared that she found a new spicies. WOW. in the end, it was only a fire worm, whateva u call it, ermm...new spicies? i didn't know that high end drama could happen on a rocky shore over a small worm.

after that went with suzie to meet elaine and gabby. we took bus to wild wild wet AKA the http://www (get the picture?). damn fun lohs. the shiok river reminded me of the 'shiok shiok kopitiam' hehs. gabby and me went to the Slide Up, the enginiering terror to me. like both of us screamed like mad, and, i was the one who sat on the side that fell backwards (and/or slide). hahas. at the last time we took the u lah lah slide thinger(which was the big round float) gabby was like leaning back at the last part, when water splashed on her face.lols. should have taken more photos

get in tune with my life

church camp was really fun! we had a lot of games and stuff but i was really sad that this is the last year that Ps. benny ho is coming to our church camp :(. anyway this is what happened.

day one - 9th june
took coach up to hotel equitorial with me cousins and reached there. had some ice breakers and went to check in then had to reherse for the talentime show. the guys ain't cooperative unless jonathan or clarence or somebody was there. ar well...the gig went through quite smoothly... i still can't stop laughing at jeremy's bimbotic act and his "nong nong ago" song. the big understatement in the gig is "that's so not hot!" :D. all of the performances were very entertaining and we had great fun. stayed up late to watch costa rica VS germany with alicia in the room but slept at the half time.

day 2 - 10th june
went to morning prayer to find that the girl leaders are not there and there was only me, karen and jasmine. the hotel food rocked! during the in-group time we got to know the new people... played some ice breaker games and was formed into groups later and was told what to do for free and easy time: shop for the FEAR FACTOR EXTERME MELAKA during the bonding time tomorrow. we had durians in a truck to come to the hotel. they were really nice.

day 3 - 11th june
the day of the fear factor. our group bought horrible stuff, in fact REVOLTING. we were supposed to prepare 3 dishes in a budget of 20 dollars. our groups ingredients were: chilli paste, asparagus, lady's finger, capsicum, ginger, parsley, corn chips,carots, coke, suan mei, salted vege and, the most revolting, DURIAN ESSENCE!!! the game made the gross side of us come out. we came out with 2 drinks and 1 plate, 'healthy asparigus', 'lady's diet food', and 'hot and spicy' and ALL of them smelt of the durian stench mua ha ha ha....XD, li yun's group got two of our dishes and the third one went to us. hehs. we got the 'lady's diet food', it tasted wierd, considering somthing that doesn't look like durian but TASTES like one. our group kenah two other revolting dishes, some mushroom delight which set my mouth burning (charm, how can u're group be so ruthless?) and the oasis (ashley, sotong sauce is so not hot, let alone the blue colouring). in the end, we won the fear factor

day 4 - 12th june
missed the last message due to CK duty, taking care of little kids during the message. azeal is so heavy, all the little girls wan to sit on me, arggh! all very heavy! my leg pain X). at the end of the day, the girls outrule the guys in the point system.(girl power rocks :P) and it was time to go back *sniff* :'(

get in tune with my life

youth camp was so fun!! i only knew joash exsisted when i went there. anyway here's what happened...

day 1
reached girl brigades HQ. sepreated into our bunks. all the girls are in one bunk yayness!! we were split into 3 tribes and i ended up with tina, sheena, joash, joseph and gabriel in the 3rd tribe. we named our tribe the crusaders. i got the idea from my bro's temasek boys brigade camp. worst of all, our team only consisted of sec 1 and 2s.clarence explained the point system to us. eggs were our points. the best part: they were RAW! yup breaking them will mean a big mess. we had to carry them everywhere if not the facilitators will confiscate them. very ma fan. however, at the end of the day, after all the games, and water bombing, our tribe had the most eggs for the day! good job people!!

day 2
morning started off with 'the unknown' which was the amazing race. our group was the last to set off but we came in first!! the guest speaker ian was very funny and good.then we had our talent night. our group didn't win, but everybody did thier best. i think they were not spontaneous as the play was very jerky. well, we had our fun anyway.

day 3
arggh!! the eggs are gone!! everybody's eggs!! at first suspected was the guys that intruded the girls dorm, but i was wrong. it ended up to be the facilitators in the girls room. anna sms the guy facilitators in the morning 4 am and said 'its time'. she took everybody's eggs and passed them to owen who was waiting outside the girls dorm (yeh, very naughty ar!).afterall, it was just a trick, so they retuned our eggs. we had our first youth service and had the crowning of the best actor and actress in the talent night and guess who? yups, jeremy tan. lols. then they announced the overall winner: the crusaders!! you guys rock man! :) we had a total of 21 eggs. went to play basket ball and later went home.
