get in tune with my life
HAPPY YOUTH DAY TO ALL YOUTHS!!!
just came back from my first worship team shadowing session- or so i called it.
i went there entirely sotong, sheryl was on the keyboard and i was sitting there looking at her hands move and looking at the song sheet. andy beat the drums very loud, i'm like partially deaf now *ouch*. then suddenly i was told to play one of the slow songs, and it was full of 'bustops'. ya like i have to pause for a moment before playing the next chord. i can't sight read chords just yet. must put new scores before me and try and try again. further more, there were a lot of distractions, like andy practicing the drums at the fast beat, adrian singing along etc... my mind was totally psychoed then, trying to concentrate on one thing and blocking out distractions.
before that i finally finished my first arguementative essay, got a brain wrecking topic that i can't write about:' why are most people afraid of growing old?' wrecked my brain for two full hours just to get things done.
I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.
Well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
Well I'm going home.
The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
I've not always been the best man or friend for you.
But your love, it makes true.
And I don't know why.
You always seem to give me another try.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all,
And then some you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all, yeah.
* bible verse of the week *
Hebrews 12:11
No discipline seems pleasent at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
