get in tune with my life
hi again! exams are coming up so i ain't going to blog that much for the time being.
sun- april 22 my team's 2nd last CK duty. played the silent game with the kids again. they were very participative and enthu today, including the worship time. was at the laptop most of the time as doraline wasn't here today. celebrated mabel's birthday with a tiramisu for her. sang happy birthday song softly (but the "God's blessing you now" loudly :P)
mon back to sch... was unwillingly skinned by naughty vania!! she used scotch tapeand stuck it on my arm and just ripped it off. ouch!! this is how much hair she pulled out: 25 strands!!! in english class, watched some opera whimphry(is that how u spell it??) show where it showed a baby being born with the mermaid syndrome where the legs are joined together. it also showed children with torrets and a small girl who felt no pain. was a really good one. ss SBQ after that which was ok. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MABEL!
tues got back my geography poem which got an A+. here it is:
The River
Starting small with little energy, The river begged for mercy, ‘Send some rain, would you send some rain? The dryness is causing me much pain.’ God granted its request. In the sky, black clouds conquest. Came, the gentle rain from heaven, Gaining strength, it came even With the earth that steals water Inflicting pain, causing rocks to falter
Now the river’s proud and strong. Taking revenge, it carries along The flesh and blood of the earth It moves on with much mirth As the load is causing more pain To the earth that was slain. The earth fights and becomes more defiant, Making the river flow on a gentler gradient, Causing the river to lose its speed, Meandering over the hollow reeds
The earth is victorious Forever so glorious The river is finally defeated Depositing whatever it eroded The earth recovers from its wounds Reprimanding the river it hounds ‘Fair you well, you are done for To the sea, you will pour Out your soul and exist no more.’ Antagonized, the river cries out But too late, it is tossed about Tortured for eternity by the raging sea
(the words are supposed to 'meander'. dun know why can't get it done)
lit unseen was horrible. i couldn't really write long enough. for the poem which i found was easier than the prose.
today boringness!! loads of hw and cleared half of my desk today because of eng mye on fri.
I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.
Well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
Well I'm going home.
The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
I've not always been the best man or friend for you.
But your love, it makes true.
And I don't know why.
You always seem to give me another try.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all,
And then some you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all, yeah.
* bible verse of the week *
Hebrews 12:11
No discipline seems pleasent at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
